How to Check Your Saudi eVisa Status (And What Each Status Means)

Applied and waiting? Here is how to check a Saudi visa three ways - through us, through your email, and on the official record - and what to do at every stage.

At a glance
  • Applications filed with us are tracked on this site with the VSA- reference and passport number
  • Embassy and platform visas can be verified on the official MOFA visa search
  • Most waiting time is spent in the 'with the authority' stage - that is the normal queue
  • Count working days: the Saudi weekend is Friday and Saturday

If you applied through us: the tracking page

Every application we file gets a reference that starts with VSA-. Enter it on our Track page with the passport number from the application and you see exactly where things stand: received, being checked by a specialist, submitted to the authority, with the authority, decision received, or eVisa ready. When the visa is issued, the document itself is downloadable from the same page - no waiting for an email to find it.

The email route

A Saudi eVisa is delivered electronically, and the issued visa also arrives by email from the official system. If your tracking page says the decision is in but your inbox is empty, search for the message before worrying: check spam and promotions folders, and search for the passport number and the word visa. The email sometimes lands a little after the record updates.

Checking the official record

Visas issued through an embassy or the official platform can be verified on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa services site (visa.mofa.gov.sa), which has a visa search using your application or visa number and passport details. That is also the check airlines effectively rely on: if a visa is genuine and current, it shows there. Keep the visa number from your issued document - it is the key to the official record.

What the stages actually mean

Most of the waiting happens in one stage: with the authority. That is not a problem state - it is the queue every application passes through, and it can sit there for most of the processing time before moving quickly at the end. A long stay in document check usually means a specialist is resolving something on the file - a photo, a spelling, a date - which is exactly the delay this stage exists to prevent at the authority's desk.

If nothing has moved for days

First, count working days, not calendar days: Saudi Arabia's weekend is Friday and Saturday, and official holidays pause the clock. Second, check the tracking page again rather than reapplying - a second application for the same passport creates confusion, not speed. Third, message us with your reference: if there is a question on the file, we can see it and answer it, and if the authority needs something from you, that is always how you will hear about it.

Common questions

My tracking has not moved for days. Is something wrong?

Usually not. Most of the processing time is spent in the single 'with the authority' stage, and weekends and official holidays pause progress. If a document is needed, it will be requested through us - you will not be left guessing.

The authority issued my visa but I have no email. What now?

Search your inbox and spam for the passport number first. If you applied through us, the issued document is also downloadable from the tracking page itself, so the email is a copy, not the only copy.

Can an airline check my eVisa?

Yes. Airlines verify the visa record at check-in against your passport, which is one reason the passport number on the application must be exact.
